What is CAPTain and how does it work?

CAPTain is a personnel evaluation system. It is PC-supported and describes an employee’s job performance in a quick, reliable way.
Habits and experiences in day-to-day work routine are analyzed according to psychological aspects of work performance. A special technique is used to gather information from the employees via PC. Their responses result in a profile that presents 38 dimensions of one’s handling of factual tasks and the way one interacts with coworkers. Those dimensions are summarized in the categories work performance, executive capabilities, decision-making abilities, personality, team performance and potentials.
In addition, a substantial written description can be generated. Every user has to input a personal standard benchmark for evaluation that is necessary for evaluating individual behavior patterns. This guarantees that the system is adapted to the specific needs of the particular company. CAPTain test results can be compared to the employee’s self-evaluation and to evaluations by executives. This ensures that the different evaluations can be applied to the job specifications.
