Simon, Weber & Friends

Since the 1980s, Gunthard Weber and Fritz B. Simon – the founders of the Heidelberg School of Systemic Therapy and Consulting – offer syllabi for organizational and business consultants. Whereas in the beginning concepts from Systemic Family Therapy were applied to organizations, the differences and similarities of both types are now sufficiently defined to allow the creation of applicable tools. What remained the same is the protagonists’ self-image and philosophy: As with other tools of trade, theoretical concepts need to be examined in terms of their practical usefulness. The ideal is pragmaticism applied with a great deal of reflection.
