“Back-up” Manager: We do not assume the role of “back-up” manager for the customer, thus taking no responsibility for decisions. We are there to mobilize the potential for solutions for our customers and to help them to lose their personal stumbling blocks.
Current positions and responsibilities
- Managing partner of osb Wien Consulting GmbH
- Professor for leadership and organization at the Institute for Family Businesses (WIFU) at Witten/Herdecke University. Current research focuses on future issues for survival of family businesses, particularly regarding the special challenges of fast-growing family businesses.
Recent consulting activities
- Providing support for companies during strategic repositioning and in projects on strategy implementation
- Conceptual design and implementation of profound organizational change projects, and supporting these for several years towards stabilization of the target state (e.g. in mergers)
- Consulting for family businesses during generational change, in the setup of new management structures, and during strategic repositioning
- Teambuilding and coaching of top management teams
- Setting up and providing support for in-house consulting units; professionalization of consultants

Uncertainty: I help enterprises come to terms with the uncertainty of the future and to take necessary measures.
